These are some of the products that I have been using lately. I used these specific ones for the "Barbie Pink" look that I just posted recently on my instagram account.

I've been trying Lo'real true match foundation and concealers lately. I usually use mac pro longwear concealer and I've been using Urban Decay all nighter foundation so I wanted to switch it up to see how it looked on my skin.

The foundation has great coverage, and my skin glows! My husband even commented that he liked it better than the all nighter foundation. I think that the all nighter foundation has incredible coverage, but for my own skin, I think I can get away with Lo'real. If you want maximum coverage, stick with Urban Decay but if your skin is pretty clear and you just want an even tone, you can definitely use Lo'real true match foundation.

ALso, true match foundation is fairly easy to match to your skin tone .

The true match concealer is okay. It tends to settle into fine lines. I noticed I had to keep applying the beauty blender to the spots under my eyes that I was creasing. I didn't like that at all, and I prefer the pro longwear concealer because it never settles.

Thoughts on a few palettes that I've been using lately.

First, I'll start off with the easiest palette- The Jaclynm Hill Morphe Palette. All you need to know is... you need to have this palette. My husband was so nice to grab this one for me after I was telling him all about Jaclyn Hill and how she is the superhero of the makeup world, haha.  The colors on this beauty are amazing, ranging from matte to sparkle goodness. Jaclyn really did put her whole heart into this palette and made sure she covered her most favorite colors and added some bursts of greens and blue as well.

One of my favorite shades is the Hillster shade. This shade is very familiar to that of MAC's brownscript. Love this shade for a smokey eye with a red lip. All of the colors are buttery, and so pigmented. They apply very creamy and are long lasting. You can't go wrong with this palette.

The next palette I've been dabbling into is the Golden State of Mind by ColourPop. I have mixed feeling on this one only because the shades tend to look very different after you actually apply them, compared to how they look while in the palette. SO, you really should swatch them before you simply apply them to your makeup look because the color may not look like what you first thought. I love how bright they are and pigmented too. If you want to add sparkle or glitter look to your eye this is a good palette to have at a very good price. Pay the Piper and unsupervised were my two favorites.

Last Palette I wanted to talk about is the Colourpop My Little Pony Shadow palette. Ok, if you are my age, these My Little Ponies are the real deal! The new ones are nothing like the original. When I saw this palette, I said I was going to get it because I my little girl would like it , but the truth is, I was excited to have this for myself. Judge me if you must. Anyways, It took me a few days to swatch it because I honestly just thought the colors might not do much for me but I was pleasantly surprised!  The entire middle row: Applejack, Skydancer, Minty and Flutterbye are so beautiful . Princess Sparkle and Blossom will make for some beautiful pigmented looks. One color I didn't care for was Butterscotch because it seemed patchy when I applied it on my arm.  I was trying to upload a picture of the swatches but for some reason it is not working. I'll upload later.  Do you need this palette? maybe not but it is fun to have for me and my ballerina. I told her she can use it for her ballet recitals but I cant wait to try some looks with it.

So it has been so long since I have  blogged. I honestly had to take a time out from everything; fitness, beauty, everything. I kind of just needed a mental break after everything that had transpired in 2016.

In 2017... I randomly took a vacation to Costa Rica which was such a beautiful experience... highly recommend it by the way.

I took the time to evaluate what was important and what needed to be removed from my life. Being busy is not good, but being busy doing what you enjoy is the key. I think people want to be busy in order to feel productive and like they are doing something good, but what good does it do you if you're not happy?

Omg I went horseback riding! for the first time ever! I had been dying to do this, but I realized that I just had to take control and go out there and do it. My family joined in and we had so much fun!

and we cannot forget... the ultimate highlight of 2017.. when I met Prince Royce.
Friends, let's not be salty about this. Pretend it was you through my eyes lol

I  saw Puerto Rico fall apart and my father lost his home. I wanted to do something so bad...but I was kind of embarrassed. Thinking that people may think I was just showing off. Then I realized, if that is what they have to say then, why do they matter? So with the help of my family and friends, we raised a truck loaded with supplies to send to the island. It felt good to do SOMETHING. You can do ANYTHING.  You are never too small, or not enough. Anything you can do to help changes this world.

I removed things, activities and even people that just were not helping me grow, were not bringing me peace and not making me a better mom or
person.

I acquired a dog.. which was a big step for us. ( yes he is two lbs but he is still a dog!) I got my dream car! More importantly, I have more self confidence and awareness of what is good for me and what isn't.

My princess turned 5 this year and that was bittersweet. My son will be as tall as me this time next year.. I'm not ready.

I'm focusing back on the things I love to do for myself which is fitness, and beauty. I did shy away from both because I felt that others things might be more important. Then I realized, what is more important than making sure I am happy? If you are happy, your kids are happy. That's when it all clicked and slowly I started back up with my fitness routines and beauty.

I decided I don't care what friends think, or strangers for that matter regarding what I do and don't do. I post on social media to have accountability, and to meet people with similar interests. I also genuinely enjoy providing my thoughts on products I use because... who doesn't want to know what is the best eyeliner out there :)

With that said I think this was finally the year where I stood up for myself, realized who I needed to trust and what things made me a better person.  The thing about parenting is, you have to be happy in order to have a happy child. My kids are my kids, but also my friends and partners. I can't wait to share with them all the things that mom wants to do and show them that anything is possible if you just try.

I'm going to use my Instagram to post about my life as a working mom, so it will include mostly fitness and beauty , but an occasional post about my kids, or day to day activities will be there too.
Happy end of 2017 !
