Fenty Beauty MATTEMOISELLE Plush Matte Lipstick Review !!

MATTEMOISELLE

Plush Matte Lipstick

Heller, it's me...

Haaa! I picked up Saw C, Ma'Damn and One of the Boyz!

I had the glorious opportunity to try three of these beautiful lipsticks by Fenty Beauty! I had picked up "saw c" on a very last min trip to the mall on New Year's eve, but I was dying to try more so my husband rushed me to Sephora at 8:45pm (store closes at 9pm) and I picked up two more colors!

I have some swatches below. I did swatch on the back of my hand, but I prefer to swatch on my fingers ( as you can see from the picture) because the color there is much more similar to how it would look on your actual lips.

I noticed that Ma'Damn and One of the Boyz are so smooth! They apply very nice and to be a matte finish, they feel creamy, not drying or like you have cement on your lips ha! Saw c on the other hand, still feels the same, but for some reason I think it flakes off. I have used it a few times and I notice it every time, but not on the other two colors that I have.

The packaging is nice, it is very small compared to other lipsticks so application was a little different. I do have to say that I like it because I am always on the go, and I like that I can easily drop this in my pocket, gym bag, or laptop bag and it fits just fine.

I love the finish because the color is very vibrant and true! It is long lasting as well. I especially noticed this on New Years since I didn't have to keep applying more lipstick after a couple of drinks, or dranksss.

I hope you enjoy reading this and try some of the colors out! You will definitely find one that you will love! I'm off to cleaning up this house and getting my routine down for the gym tomorrow. I started dieting for a mini cut so let's see how this goes!

These are some of the products that I have been using lately. I used these specific ones for the "Barbie Pink" look that I just posted recently on my instagram account.

I've been trying Lo'real true match foundation and concealers lately. I usually use mac pro longwear concealer and I've been using Urban Decay all nighter foundation so I wanted to switch it up to see how it looked on my skin.

The foundation has great coverage, and my skin glows! My husband even commented that he liked it better than the all nighter foundation. I think that the all nighter foundation has incredible coverage, but for my own skin, I think I can get away with Lo'real. If you want maximum coverage, stick with Urban Decay but if your skin is pretty clear and you just want an even tone, you can definitely use Lo'real true match foundation.

ALso, true match foundation is fairly easy to match to your skin tone .

The true match concealer is okay. It tends to settle into fine lines. I noticed I had to keep applying the beauty blender to the spots under my eyes that I was creasing. I didn't like that at all, and I prefer the pro longwear concealer because it never settles.

Thoughts on a few palettes that I've been using lately.

First, I'll start off with the easiest palette- The Jaclynm Hill Morphe Palette. All you need to know is... you need to have this palette. My husband was so nice to grab this one for me after I was telling him all about Jaclyn Hill and how she is the superhero of the makeup world, haha.  The colors on this beauty are amazing, ranging from matte to sparkle goodness. Jaclyn really did put her whole heart into this palette and made sure she covered her most favorite colors and added some bursts of greens and blue as well.

One of my favorite shades is the Hillster shade. This shade is very familiar to that of MAC's brownscript. Love this shade for a smokey eye with a red lip. All of the colors are buttery, and so pigmented. They apply very creamy and are long lasting. You can't go wrong with this palette.

The next palette I've been dabbling into is the Golden State of Mind by ColourPop. I have mixed feeling on this one only because the shades tend to look very different after you actually apply them, compared to how they look while in the palette. SO, you really should swatch them before you simply apply them to your makeup look because the color may not look like what you first thought. I love how bright they are and pigmented too. If you want to add sparkle or glitter look to your eye this is a good palette to have at a very good price. Pay the Piper and unsupervised were my two favorites.

Last Palette I wanted to talk about is the Colourpop My Little Pony Shadow palette. Ok, if you are my age, these My Little Ponies are the real deal! The new ones are nothing like the original. When I saw this palette, I said I was going to get it because I my little girl would like it , but the truth is, I was excited to have this for myself. Judge me if you must. Anyways, It took me a few days to swatch it because I honestly just thought the colors might not do much for me but I was pleasantly surprised!  The entire middle row: Applejack, Skydancer, Minty and Flutterbye are so beautiful . Princess Sparkle and Blossom will make for some beautiful pigmented looks. One color I didn't care for was Butterscotch because it seemed patchy when I applied it on my arm.  I was trying to upload a picture of the swatches but for some reason it is not working. I'll upload later.  Do you need this palette? maybe not but it is fun to have for me and my ballerina. I told her she can use it for her ballet recitals but I cant wait to try some looks with it.

So it has been so long since I have  blogged. I honestly had to take a time out from everything; fitness, beauty, everything. I kind of just needed a mental break after everything that had transpired in 2016.

In 2017... I randomly took a vacation to Costa Rica which was such a beautiful experience... highly recommend it by the way.

I took the time to evaluate what was important and what needed to be removed from my life. Being busy is not good, but being busy doing what you enjoy is the key. I think people want to be busy in order to feel productive and like they are doing something good, but what good does it do you if you're not happy?

Omg I went horseback riding! for the first time ever! I had been dying to do this, but I realized that I just had to take control and go out there and do it. My family joined in and we had so much fun!

and we cannot forget... the ultimate highlight of 2017.. when I met Prince Royce.
Friends, let's not be salty about this. Pretend it was you through my eyes lol

I  saw Puerto Rico fall apart and my father lost his home. I wanted to do something so bad...but I was kind of embarrassed. Thinking that people may think I was just showing off. Then I realized, if that is what they have to say then, why do they matter? So with the help of my family and friends, we raised a truck loaded with supplies to send to the island. It felt good to do SOMETHING. You can do ANYTHING.  You are never too small, or not enough. Anything you can do to help changes this world.

I removed things, activities and even people that just were not helping me grow, were not bringing me peace and not making me a better mom or
person.

I acquired a dog.. which was a big step for us. ( yes he is two lbs but he is still a dog!) I got my dream car! More importantly, I have more self confidence and awareness of what is good for me and what isn't.

My princess turned 5 this year and that was bittersweet. My son will be as tall as me this time next year.. I'm not ready.

I'm focusing back on the things I love to do for myself which is fitness, and beauty. I did shy away from both because I felt that others things might be more important. Then I realized, what is more important than making sure I am happy? If you are happy, your kids are happy. That's when it all clicked and slowly I started back up with my fitness routines and beauty.

I decided I don't care what friends think, or strangers for that matter regarding what I do and don't do. I post on social media to have accountability, and to meet people with similar interests. I also genuinely enjoy providing my thoughts on products I use because... who doesn't want to know what is the best eyeliner out there :)

With that said I think this was finally the year where I stood up for myself, realized who I needed to trust and what things made me a better person.  The thing about parenting is, you have to be happy in order to have a happy child. My kids are my kids, but also my friends and partners. I can't wait to share with them all the things that mom wants to do and show them that anything is possible if you just try.

I'm going to use my Instagram to post about my life as a working mom, so it will include mostly fitness and beauty , but an occasional post about my kids, or day to day activities will be there too.
Happy end of 2017 !

LeMarc Liquid Lip Creme review and swatches

OMG I haven't blogged in a very long time. Needless to say, the last few months were very busy for me. I competed in two fitness competitions, and had to adjust to reverse dieting, holidays, and christmas shopping along with every day, working mom life. I'll blog about all of that soon.

I wanted to quickly talk about the new and beautiful LeMarc Beauty products that I received complimentary from @Influenster and @MarcBeauty #contest. I love trying all kinds of beauty and makeup products so I was very excited to try these out. I received the #LeMarc liquid lip creme in the color "slow burn" along with the poutliner lip liner in the color "prim (rose)".

Everyone who knows me knows I love a nude lip, so when I received these colors I was very excited. They are nude/mauve tones. I received them a little over a week ago, and have been using them ever since, almost daily. I wanted to make sure I really tried them out before writing any reviews. I wore the lip colors to work, and to outings like church, etc.

It is a very beautiful and wearable color that you can 'dress up' or wear on day to day basis. The poutliner is very creamy. I have tried some that are pretty drying on the lips, but this one glides on, and is very easy to apply and trace along the lips. I think you can wear the poutliner alone if you wish as well! The lip creme glides on smooth. I was surprised because I've tried other lip cremes that can be very drying , and have a tendecy to crack, making it very uncomfortable to wear. I have tried some of these and although the colors are beautiful I would only wear for pictures. It is too uncomfortable to wear out on the town, dinner, etc. The LeMarc liquid lip creme is soft, and is so long lasting! I put it on at the beginning of my shift (8am) and by 11am I still had it on and it still looked smooth, and very pigmented. I would definitely recommend this product, and I am excited to go out and try the "shush blush" shade.

Here are some pics and swatches!

New Urban Decay Ultimate Basics Palette- first impressions/review

Hi there !

So I had been dying to get get my hands on the new urban decay ultimate basics palette when I saw on a FB ad that it was back in stock on urbandecay.com! I quick placed my order and got it today so I wanted to talk about my thoughts on this first time, all matte eyeshadow palette.
The packaging goes right in with the naked urban decay theme. It's gold, shiny, and sleek. The palette is very light weight which is great for people on the go (me🙋🏻)

It's small and compact so if you travel, want to throw it in your purse or bag it is easy to do!
It also has a good size mirror so that is a major plus. One less thing to carry.

All of these colors are new and that's exciting to see. The pay off is just as expected from urban decay. Beautiful, rich and smooth to apply. This palette can really be your new "go to" the colors are so different yet go very well together. When looking at it I can think of so many looks I can do, which sometimes that's hard to do when you see a palette with a ton of colors.

It will be great for any looks- daytime , natural , office , date night or girls night out.
For me, my time away is spent at the office so I like this palette because some days I like to go a little more "dark" for work to "dress up" an outfit for fun. Other times if I know I'll be having meetings I want something softer and more fresh. There are also so many smokey eye options to choose from !

The color "extra bitter" is such a rich brown reddish color and I can definitely wear that as a Fall look - or with a dark smokey eye look. It's one of my favorite colors from this palette.
This is definitely a must have whether you just love to collect makeup or need a simple go to palette.
I swatched some of the colors so you can see how beautiful and pigmented they are
First swatch is of :

First swatch is of:
Faith
Lockout
Magnet
Blackjack

Second swatch:

Lethal
Pregame
Tempted

and yes my hands look ashy I had tons of powders on LOL....I hope you enjoy and I can't wait to try some new looks with this palette!

9 weeks out

Prep has been going so well! I started at 12 weeks. I have been training and tracking macros for a long time so I was used to the process, although more intense now. I am very dedicated and driven so my focus is just doing what I need to do to get the results I want. I am with the best team in West Michigan so I know everything will be amazing.

Being part of an awesome team of women is so empowering. I love that I have my team mates to reach out to and talk to about fitness, or anything else in general. It is definitely motivational and I'm glad to be a part of it.

Prep is going to get intense from this point on, and I'm not worried about my dedication to the process, but I am worried about just the mom life. School starts soon, so that means schedules will change and I'll be busy with school activities. I don't miss a beat when it comes to my kids' education and I participate in everything I can. It will be interesting to see how I pull through the next few weeks!

What keeps me so focused in this is the way I think about this process. I do not see it as a difficult time, but rather a challenge that I signed myself up for. I knew it was going to be busy, strict, and required time and attention. Whenever I feel too tired for fasted cardio I give myself that talk. Whenever I want to eat something that is not on my meal plan, I remember that this is only temporary, and it is a choice I made. I don't want to let myself down. I don't really think much, I just do what I need to do and take things one day at a time. It is way too stressful if I look at the big picture with everything I have going on.

Competition has me a little nervous. I've been on stage before for modeling, and beauty pageants but it has been a long time. I am so excited for this because it is like a fitness beauty pageant. HA! I am nervous about a few things but I have a good support system and I know it will be just fine. If your dreams don't scare you, they're not big enough!
